IF MY PEOPLE WOULD TURN

I don't know what happened my dear ladies. This was supposed to be published in January, but apparently, I never finished. My health had not been good. I have not forgotten you and always pray for my dear sisters in India. I think of you night and day and send you all my warmest greetings. The following message is way over-due. Please forgive me.

Technically speaking, it is believed that Jesus' birth was actually some time this month, January. So, Happy Birthday Jesus! And a belated Merry Christmas to all my dear ladies in India! Our dear Lord was born in a stinky old stable, laid to rest in a manger in lieu of a crib. Actually, it's doubtful he actually slept in a manger, more likely in his mother's arms most of the time. Still, it was awful. And what do we do on Christmas? Sleep in warm beds and dream of the excitement of the celebration and feast. We tell the story of Jesus with no clue what it was really like for Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.

But! Praise our Holy Father, He sent His son into that tiny body by the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born of the young virgin Mary, and her betrothed Joseph stood by her side to raise the boy. For that, we have the promise of eternity with Him in heaven.

So, Happy New Year! May the Lord bless you abundantly with hearts filled with joy and peace throughout the year. Let us worship Him with all our hearts with praise and thanksgiving!
Today I want to share with you what the Lord spoke to my heart this morning in my devotion time, a verse that comes to me often these days. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16
14 If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. 16 I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there. NIV

At the time these verses were written, the Israelites had gone off the deep end in their sin. Everyone was doing their own thing, there were so many rules and laws no one could keep up with them and they had to go to the temple to sacrifice all the time because of their sin. They lived in constant fear and depression because they were never good enough. Then of course there were the priests and pharisees who memorized Scripture and lived by the letter of the law in the public eye but were wretched lost souls at heart who's pride ran deeper, wider, and longer than the Jordan River. So they've built this magnificant temple at the direction of Solomon and it pleased the Lord.

So God said to Solomon, IF My people who are called by My Name... What does that mean? God called His chosen people Israel. So He is saying, IF Israel will humble themselves (lose the pride, stop acting like they had it all together and knew what they were doing!) and pray and seek My face (yo, people, I'm here to help you, hello, you don't have to be so miserable children,) and turn from their wicked ways, (you've been so bad, forgetting to check in with me, making your own rules, worshiping idols, listening to false teachers and preachers, inter-marrying the locals, engaging in all sorts of unmentionable idolatry, really people, you must stop!) THEN, I'll hear them and forgive their sins, and heal their land. God goes on to tell Solomon, He'll be attentive to the prayers offered in this spectacular facility Solomon has had built for Him because he's consecrated it forever. That's a long time and a big promise. Contingent on the IF-THEN equation.

Fast forward to 2013.

In India, just as in the US, idolatry is a big problem. A big sin. Over there for the Hindus it looks like little statues, all sorts of animals, and I don't know what else but you do. Over here it looks like fancy clothes, flat screen television sets, sports cars, coiffed hairstyles, super-model make-up, $100 fingernails, etc., etc., etc. It looks like anything anywhere that takes our eyes, hearts and attention off of the only One worthy of our focus. And today we know we are the TEMPLE. 1 Cor 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. NIV

So let's look at what our Father says again in light of the new covenant. If My people who are called by My Name, those who trust Jesus as Savior, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways (and idols,) then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and ears attentive to the prayers offered in this person. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that My Name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will always be there. God's has consecrated YOU, dear ones, and written HIS name forever upon your hearts, and HIS eyes will always be upon you.

Don't let that frighten you. Rather, let it delight you. He loves you. Yes He is holy, righteous, and perfect, but did He not send His son to pay the price for our transgressions? He is merciful. loving and tender. He wants you to draw near Him in the name of Jesus.

If we humble ourselves, trust in Jesus (how can we focus on doing bad things when our eyes are on Jesus, eh?) and pray to Him, He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our lands.

Ladies, we are all His people now. All who believe in the Name of Jesus are His people so your land, my land, any land of the believer can and will be healed if we but turn to Him and trust in His name.

Let us pray together, as one in unity, forgetting there is a vast body of water between our lands, language differences, and variations in skin tones.

O Father, how great thou art! Great is thy faithfulness, O God our Father. morning by morning, new mercies we see. I take these lines from an old hymn to honor You loving YHWH, for You alone are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. Let us fall to our knees before Your holiness, we bow down.

Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for forgetting our sins, that You look upon them no more, but rather see only the holiness, the purity, the righteousness and loving-kindness of Your son our Savior. How can we ever thank You for this incredible gift of life through blood sacrifice?! We bless Your name O Jesus! We love You sweet Savior!

We confess we are not worthy to lick the dirt from your feet. But because You loved us so much you died for us, have risen to take Your rightful place at the right hand of the Father in heaven, and prepared a place for each of us, we accept with joy and humility this most precious gift ever given.  We repent for our nations O Lord, the worship of any idol that takes our eyes off you.

Show us dear Jesus, how to reach the women in our communities, so that they may be saved! Grant us divine appointments and put Your words upon our lips that we would speak the Truth in love so they would see the light of Your life shining in our hearts and desire to follow you too. Lord Jesus, help us to bring food to the hungry to feed Your sheep as You commanded us, and to lovingly minister to the least of Your brothers (and sisters) as You have said, whatsoever we do to him, so it is done to You. Help us to always be ready to give an account for the hope we have in You and never be ashamed of the name of Jesus.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for healing where there is sickness, peace where there is anxiety, work where there is poverty, food where there is hunger, rest for the weary, strength for Babu and all the men who faithfully carry the gospel to the villages of Andhra Pradesh. In the name of Jesus I ask Your blessing on Sarah and her children, that you would always provide for them all that they need, that they be shining lights in the darkness of India bringing joy of salvation in Jesus to all who don't know You. Thank you for this precious woman and her family.

In Your blessed name I pray, Jesus, amen.

Loving you always in peace,
ఎప్పుడూ శాంతి మరియు ప్రేమ తో,
Mama anne
